VERSO EN ACCIÓN 2025:
LA PALABRA EN EL VERSO

An online 20-hour workshop for actors in which we will learn that when interpreting a play in verse, we must know what that structure consists of, that score that will ensure that when the text reaches the audience’s ear, they will be seduced by the rhythm of the word.

Conducted in Spanish by Karmele Aranburu from Aula K in Madrid, we will see how Spanish Golden Age playwrights direct us through the rhythmic structure and we, by interpreting these words full of dramatic action, can say a lively and rhythmic text at the same time, creating the necessary and essential balance between its form and its content.

 

We will work with monologues from well-known Spanish Golden Age plays such as La vida es sueño, Fuenteovejuna, La dama boba, El perro del hortelano, La dama duende, El caballero de Olmedo, El castigo sin venganza…
