Teatro Círculo, celebrating its 30th Anniversary presents EL ALCALDE DE ZALAMEA (The Mayor of Zalamea) by Pedro Calderón de la Barca.
 
Directed by Daniel Alonso de Santos and the verse direction by Karmele Aranburu this Calderón’s classic explores the moral challenges of a wealthy peasant, Pedro Crespo, whose daughter Isabel is attacked by a Captain of the Spanish Army. When Pedro Crespo is elected the Mayor of Zalamea, he finds himself in a position of power; will he now avenge his daughter?
