‘Abuelito, dime tú’ in NYC Thanks to SU-CASA
Recognizing that seniors are natural artists, and embracing their love of stories, Teatro Círculo’s multigenerational program ‘Abuelito, dime tú’, taps into the vast experiences of seniors to share their own stories and make a performance from them.
The program SU-CASA, funded in FY25 by the New York City Council, provided grants to artists and organizations for the creation and delivery of arts programming for seniors. Teaching artists engaged participating seniors in art projects or series of cultural programs over the course of the residency, including a public program component – an exhibit, reading, performance, open house, or other cultural interaction open to the surrounding community.
We really want to thank the City Council Members for their support to ‘Abuelito, dime tú’.
