Send Us to Spain!
SHOWING SPAIN THE LATINO FACES OF USA

This June 2025, Teatro Círculo, one of New York City’s leading Spanish-language theatre companies and community-based theatre, has been invited to perform internationally – and we need your help to show España the Latino faces of USA!
We will be performing El alcalde de Zalamea (The Mayor of Zalamea) by Pedro Calderón de la Barca at Clásicos en Alcalá, a world-renowned performing arts festival held annually in Alcalá de Henares, a World Heritage city in Madrid. Our performances will not only bring Spain’s Golden Age theatre to its own shores but also showcase the artistry and range of our cast – Latinos in the US.
At this time with the arts under threat, and the US’s international stature compromised, you can help show the world the Latino faces of USA – through a play written in the 1600s that could not be more relevant today!
- Your gift of $250 will cover the cost of transportation from Madrid to Alcalá
- Your gift of $100 will cover the cost of dinner for 4 actors in Alcalá
- Your gift of $50 will buy breakfast for the entire team!
- No gift is too small!

We’re hosting a special one-night only Fiesta de Salsa on Thursday May 15, 2025 to raise funds and have fun!
Your ticket purchase will support our performance by Latinoamericanos in España at the XXIV Festival Iberoamericano del Siglo de Oro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Clásicos en Alcalá.
Gracias to each one of you for recognizing the power of theatre and the arts and supporting our community!
